Little Yellow Wildflowers

I was going to figure out what the real name of these flowers is before writing this post but it is summer and I have iced tea.  There is a breeze and there are paperback novels to read.
It is enough that the fields and edge of the woodlands have 1000s of such lovely yellow jewels,
no matter what they are called.

This summer my pictures are all being taken with my phone's camera. The quality of image is poorer but my phone is always handy in my pocket and I can upload the pictures so easily!

Sunset View

When I admire the wonders of a sunset
or the beauty of the moon,
my soul expands in the worship of the creator.

Ukulele at Winnipeg Beach

This past weekend we left our cottage to go to a different lake about 2 hours away.

Bob had a Ukulele Group gathering in Winnipeg Beach under the bandstand.  They had a nice little turn out and absolutely beautiful weather. The group played songs for over two hours and even had some people start to dance.

Bob and I went for a nice dinner at a little Italian restaurant that was located in view of the park and the lake. We then strolled along the boardwalk and looked at the water and saw all the people playing on the beach and sharing picnic dinner on the grassy park area.

We will be at another beach in that area in a couple of weeks so I look forward to another day exploring lake country.

Shore to Shore

Our daughters were already staying at the cottage when we came out this week so we called for a ride over to the island once we arrived. We unloaded our things by our dock and waited.

Thanks for getting us Emily!
